Selecting your chocolates
I prefer all dark chocolates. Can I make my own selection?
All of our chocolate assortment boxes are available to select as mainly dark, mainly milk or even non-alcoholic options. If you would prefer to specify a selection of chocolates, such as 'all dark' or 'lots of truffles', just email us after placing your order.
Can I choose chocolates without alcohol?
If you would prefer a selection of chocolates without alcohol please select the 'non-alcoholic chocolates' option available with all of our chocolate assortment boxes.
I don't like nuts. Do you offer nut-free chocolates?
All of our chocolates may contain traces of nuts. However, if you simply don't like pralines or marzipan just email us after placing your order.
Order processing and delivery
How can I be sure my order has been received?
On receipt of your order we will send you a confirmation email.
Can I cancel my order?
As long as we haven't already despatched your order, it can be cancelled.
When will my order be delivered?
Orders received by 12pm Monday to Friday will be despatched the same day for next working day delivery via Royal Mail's Special Delivery service. Orders placed between 12pm Friday and 12pm Monday will be despatched on Monday. A Saturday delivery service is available at extra cost. Click here for more Delivery Information.
Can I specify a future delivery date for my order?
Yes. You can specify delivery on any future working day, Monday to Friday (or Saturday, at extra cost).
Will someone have to sign for the order when it's delivered?
Yes. We ask that you specify a home or workplace delivery address when you place your order, so that we can ensure it is delivered only to the intended recipient. Orders sent to large businesses or hospitals may be signed for by a receptionist or mail room employee and may take longer to reach the intended recipient as a result.
To which destinations can you deliver?
We can arrange delivery of chocolates by post to any address within the UK mainland, Channel Islands or Northern Ireland. If you specify a delivery address outside of the UK your payment may still be processed; however we cannot fulfil your order and will refund your credit card, less an administration fee of £2.
Do you accept orders from overseas?
Yes, provided that the delivery address is within the UK mainland, Channel Islands or Northern Ireland.
Can I order products for delivery to multiple addresses?
Yes. Simply place your order online, then email us with a list of addresses and message card details and we'll do the rest.
If I buy products from this website how can I be sure my credit card details are secure?
All orders are processed by Sagepay using SSL software which encrypts information you input. Our security is guaranteed by the certificate provider, Verisign.
I have forgotten my password. How do I log-in to my account?
On the log-in page, enter your email address and click on 'Forgotten password?'. We will email a new password to your registered email address. Use the new password to log in to 'My Account' where you can change the password to something more memorable.
Product and chocolate definitions
What is a ganache?
A ganache is a mixture of chocolate and cream, sometimes flavoured with alcohol or other infusions.
What is a praline?
A praline is a blend of roasted and caramelised almonds and/or hazelnuts, finely or coarsely ground.
What is a truffle?
A truffle, sometimes flavoured with alcohol, is similar to a ganache, but slightly softer in texture.
Are your chocolates suitable for someone with a nut allergy?
No, because all of our products may contain traces of nuts.
Are your chocolates suitable for someone on a gluten-free diet?
Almost all of our chocolates are compatible with a gluten-free diet, but we recommend that you contact us to specify your requirements.
Are your chocolates suitable for vegetarians?
Yes. None of our products contains animal fats.
Are your chocolates kosher?
No. Although our chocolates are free from animal fats, they do not meet Kosher food specifications.
Are your chocolates suitable for vegans?
The majority of our chocolates contain dairy products such as milk, butter and fresh cream, but we have a small selection that are suitable for vegans. Please call us for details.
Are your products suitable for diabetics?
Although none of our chocolates is sugar-free, they contain considerably less sugar than mass-produced, commercial chocolates. Please contact us for details and we would be happy to advise you.
Do your chocolates contain alcohol?
Yes, some of our chocolates contain alcohol. If you would prefer a selection of chocolates without alcohol please select 'non-alcoholic chocolates' in the product options list, available for most of our chocolate gift boxes.
How do I store your chocolates?
We recommend that you store our chocolates at a temperature between 15° and 20°.
What's the best temperature at which to enjoy your chocolates?
Our chocolates are best enjoyed at a temperature between 18° and 20°. We do not recommend you store them in a fridge; however, during hot spells this may be unavoidable, in which case we suggest you bring them back up to room temperature before eating them.
How far in advance can I buy your chocolates and how long will they last?
Our chocolate selections carry an 8 - 12 week shelf life, indicated by a 'best before' date underneath each box. Because our chocolates are free from preservatives, for your enjoyment we recommend that they are eaten by the date specified, and within five days of opening.
